Ronan was born with a rare form of Congenital Muscular Dystrophy LAMA2,or merosin-deficient CMD. There is currently no cure or treatment for this progressive disease.
Ronan demonstrates low muscle tone throughout his body, cannot bear weight on his legs or arms, and requires total assistance for all transfers, positioning, and activities of daily living. He uses a wheelchair and is dependent upon the wheelchair for his mobility at home, school, and within the community.
Our request is for an accessible shower to help with his daily needs.
